I've only read the first few pages of this new thread, but seriously, some of you need to stop personally attacking the OP. OK he has a view which the majority disagree with, but adding "moron", "idiot" etc. to the end of your posts just makes this forum really unappealing.

Well why don't you tell me the benefits of drinking that? If you want you can list every ingredient and tell me why its good for you.

Well the OP started off the trend by calling the majority of the forum scum and bastards. I'm sure he's not suprised that people have replied in the same manner.

WHEN did I say I was going to compare it? WHEN are you going to STOP assuming? WHEN are you going to start thinking!!

AnnaBanana
Did I really? Did I directly call everyone scum? Where have listed a name followed by an insult?

Is it better if i say "Anyone who thinks alcohol is evil is a closed minded, self righteous prick" then? Since didn't actually put your name.

If you believe that, then do so. Only the guilty of what I said in this thread would be insulted, it would be the same as if I said liars are the lowest form of human being. If you fall under the category then of course you will be insulted. You will then reinforce your ego by replying that lies are ok in moderation, or there is such thing as lying for a good reason, lying to help someone. The same way people have defended themselves and there lifestyle in this thread when it came under attack.

The guilty of what you said? You basically said anyone who has fun is scum and has 'dangerous dirty ideas'. I think most people are going to be found 'guilty' of this high crime.

If i make sexist comments regarding women and someone disagrees with it, it doesn't mean they're defending themselves because they know they're 'guilty' of being female, they just think i'm talking rubbish which is why people who don't even drink have disagreed with you. Just because you say it's bad and people who do it are 'guilty' it doesn't make it so. And way to not actually answer my question.

Guilty being another way of saying those who share the ideas I posted against originally. It has nothing to do with any universal moral law or any criminal law. If you have issues with this word because its used else where in society I won't use it.

Olam I have nothing against people having fun, even in my first post I said I despise dull people.

AnnaBanana
If you hold sexist beliefs it would be no different to what I've said here your right, but how does it change anything? I am not here starting laws or telling people not to drink, all I have done is argued against it right? You could reverse the whole thing around to a thread that promoted drinking alcohol and people who don't are scum or losers etc etc, your reply would hold up there too.

If someone made a thread like that i'd think they were a prat. Like i think you're a prat and that this thread doesn't deserve to be in 'have your say' as it's not really a debate. Maybe if you knew your post was going to be made into a new thread you would have posted something abit more intelligent, i don't know. If you don't want to drink then fine, good for you. But if you go on a forum where the majority of the members are young people who drink and start insulting them for it then expect to get some shit about it.

If I knew it was going to be made into a thread I wouldn't have posted at all. I hold the value that I don't allow people (like mentioned in the first post) into my life, something that I've tried to say during this thread whilst arguing why.

This really is a minor thing for me, but its something I believe in so I put the effort in as some people put the effort back who believe drinking is great/right or just those who thought I was wrong and I respect that, I really do. (The effort not the drinking)

All that I ask of every human being, age, gender, race whatever I don't care, just take a step back and look closely at how your living your life.

Then ask, can I do better? Am I spending my time alive fully? Can you say that every act has meaning long or short term, is it good for me? Is it harming others? Is it bad for me? Are these people in my life good for me?

If you doubt your answers or you have definite negative answers then why not change for the better? Why not remove all the crap from your life? Its hard but so worth it.

i think alcohol is a total waste of time.
i feel stronger against smoking than alcohol though.
sure.. i'll have one or two drinks at a special occasion or at a party.
but i won't get drunk.
i don't need drink or drugs to have a good time.

I'm going to a party tonight with 2 grams of coke, a gram of ket, ten tabs of acid, an ounce of spliff, twelve garys and 3 crates of stella.

Should be fun viktor.
