Default The Simpsons vs. Apple

'In the latest episode of The Simpsons, shown on Fox in the US Sunday night, ‘MyPods and Boomsticks,’ Lisa Simpson and family are shown entering the newly open Springfield ‘Mapple’ store, a clear reference to Apple.

On entering the Mapple store Lisa gasps "It's so sterile," as rows of MyPods, MyPhones, MyCubes and a Brainiac Bar are shown complete with Comic Book Guy revealing that he has mayonnaise in his CD drive.

Lisa tries to buy a pair of fake white earphones so people will think she has a MyPod only to discover MyPhonies costs $40.

Steve Mobs, evidently modelled on Apple CEO Steve Jobs makes an appearance and there's a chance to discover what Krusty the Clown thinks of his MyPod.

Bart is shown disrupting the latest Mapple announcement from Mobs, direct from his underwater HQ.

"You think you're cool because you buy a $500 phone with a picture of a fruit on it. Well guess what? They cost 8 bucks to make and I pee on every one," says Bart pretending to be the CEO.

The episode is expected to be shown later this year on Sky One in the UK. A clip from the show is available on YouTube:
